For my office workstation I was looking for a DAB radio, because my old FM radio but so had some reception interference and therefore noise. So a DAB radio was needed. I home a DUAL I R6 for more than 18 months have in use and therefore very'm satisfied, it should be a dual-radio. However, the DAB reception characteristics of the current 2014er models were in my eyes and especially the planned of use more than poor. So again returned. In an electronics store I have then even different models considered in more detail in terms of operation, sound (which in a noisy environment was possible extent) and feel. Here, the Sony service gave me respect. Very much. So I ordered it to me here and as usual from Amazon, it was delivered very quickly. At its new location, it was also set up quickly. The manual I have not read. Switched to DAB mode, start the station search and stored my favorite stations in the preset memory lasted only a few minutes. The reception of DAB stations is here in an office building without interference, no comparison to the previously tried out DUAL radios. All stations come in clearly and without interference. The sound can not be adjusted. Bass are virtually non-existent. But as radio for a constant stream of sound is ok. For home where you put perhaps more emphasis on sound, I would be too thin. The housing is made of plastic and is processed good and stable for my taste. Reasonable for the price in any case. The menu is in English, which personally does not bother me. The possible battery operation I have not tested, therefore no statement possible. Device is always operated on power supply. There is a headphone output available and a AUX-IN input. Both for me nice-to-have, but not decisive for the war.

less positive ("negative" is me formulated to negative): Sound stage, a bit thin, but enough for office use -no EQ Menu in English
Conclusion: For my application area perfectly adequate. My main reason to keep the radio, are the good DAB reception characteristics. For the slightly thin sound and missing equalizer there is a star deduction. But the bottom line is an absolutely recommendable for me DAB radio!
