Installation is simple:
1) remove the protective tab Keyboard battery
2) insert the batteries in the mouse
3) plug into your computer or the PS3 USB sensor
4) turn the keyboard and mouse
5) Wait a few seconds (almost immediate on PS3, 10 seconds on Windows XP SP3)
Your keyboard and mouse work perfectly then (addtionnelles the keys are perfectly configured). You can customize the keyboard (F # keys) by installing software supplied on CD, but I see little interest. The software is simple, ergonomic and it is not necessary to read the manual to understand the operation of the whole.
Strength / Ergonomics:
The mouse like the keyboard are fairly mild and do not necessarily give a solid feel, with shiny black plastic. However, shaking the whole it is not intended to pose some concern noise, the keys on the keyboard to the very quiet keystrokes appear by robust elsewhere except for keys "multimedia" (sound settings, play, etc ... ) that are noisy and they do not seem very strong (also these are simple little plastic rectangles pleasant to the touch: too fine marking the fingers). The keyboard has a palm rest in very comfortable foam, not slippery and that in no way interferes wrist movements.
The mouse wheel is adjustable, you can have a mode "notched" or free mode. I always seek the usefulness of free mode (the wheel rotates without resistance and without marking) and the notched mode does not offer enough resitance for my taste. Apart from this mouse is very nice in terms of grip with useful side buttons.
I can not judge announced autonomy for 3 years (!). Note that an automatic standby mode is preached, and a battery meter is integrated into the keyboard.
In summary, we love:
+ Simple and fast installation (few seconds)
+ Compatibility with immediate Playstation 3, for which a wireless keyboard mouse combot using only a USB port is very significant
+ Silence and strength of keys
+ Ergonomic keyboard
We do not like
- The mouse does not give an impression of solidity
- The keys "Multimedia key" that seem flimsy and are not very pleasant to the touch
- The freewheeling wheel mouse
