I've looked at this in more detail alarm clock and want to pass on the information obtained:
Packing:
The alarm clock is delivered in a simple cardboard packaging. Here was thought along; the packaging is easy to open and unaided. The alarm clock is additionally protected with a foam bag. It comes with the alarm clock and an instruction manual.
Caution: It is required a standard 1.5V battery type AA. This is not supplied.
Operating Instructions:
The multilingual manual is organized and clearly structured. All necessary information is available in several chapters. Small sketches illustrate the operation.
Processing:
My first impression is very positive. The housing feels pleasant, everything is rounded, there are no sharp edges or corners. The plastic disc is processed without errors; there are no scratches or foreign bodies. The controls (knobs and dials) can be readily and smoothly operate. The alarm clock makes a very robust and stable impression. Since the housing is made of one piece, split a fall from the bedside alarm clock not in several parts. With a total weight of about 100g (incl. Battery) this does not fall on the suitcase.
Operation:
The clock and alarm are set using two small wheels at the rear of the chassis. Both wheels should be turned in the direction of arrow, the time wheel can be in both directions, turn the Weckzeiträdchen only in direction of the arrow. If you'd like to sleep a little longer spontaneous, the Weckzeiträdchen must long be turned until the alarm hand is completely around once. This is a bit annoying, but you get used to it.
To activate the alarm time, the alarm switch at the top right-hand corner of the casing must be pressed. The protrusion of the switch indicates the active alarm mode.
Especially practical: The activated alarm switch is easily visible through the protruding edge and very well felt in the dark.
The light sensor on the top of the case turns on the light and also the snooze function.
Readability and lighting:
The time can be quickly and easily read from a distance. The hands and the numerals 3, 6, 9 and 12 are clearly visible.
The integrated lighting is sufficient to be able to read the time in total darkness can, it appears low; not hidden. The fluorescent indicator can be seen only faintly in the dark. Since only light up the two hands, the exact time can only be roughly estimated. I then pushing rather short on the light switch and can then read the correct time.
Volume:
The alarm clock is absolutely silent; no ticking; even in a bedroom in complete silence. The second hand slowly slides round after round. Only in direct contact with the ear to the housing, a very faint sound are perceived.
Alarm:
The alarm is initially very pleasant; not startles equal. The morning Weckschreck applicable with this alarm clock. One can start gentle and pleasant in the day. The sound increases in 4 increments of 8 sec .:
1st stage> quietly and slowly
2nd stage> quiet and fast
3rd stage> loud and fast
4th stage> fast loud and unpleasant
Caution:
The 4th stage will beep until the snooze button is pressed or the alarm is turned off. This can be in case of accidental alarm unpleasant for neighbors. In testing, I've found that the alarm off after about 7 minutes on their own.
Snooze function:
The snooze function or snooze button is also called the light button above the alarm clock. Because of an alarm signal, this button can be pressed briefly, the alarm is suppressed for 4 min. This procedure can be repeated up to 4 times; corresponding to 16 minutes snooze time.
Battery:
A standard AA battery is available at every turn in trade. The battery replacement is very simple:
Battery compartment on the bottom open old battery out new battery correctly Insert Close the battery compartment.
I can not give any information about the battery life, but I will complete later in this report.
Tips and Tricks:
The alarm can be set even in absolute darkness. Just the light button pressed while turning the Weckrädchen to the desired time.
In order not to confuse the two adjuster in the dark, the time wheel can be gently pulled off. Thus, there is then only a small wheel at the back.
It is not simply set the alarm minute. Who really wants to be woken up exactly to 1-2 minutes I can give the following advice: Set the clock hands to the desired alarm, activate the alarm switch and then set the alarm hand to the same time. Once the alarm starts to beep, the correct alarm time is set. Now adjust the correct time. This method is somewhat expensive, but pretty much.
Conclusion:
Who puts on a simple operation, simple appearance and a friendly alarm value will be well served with this little alarm clock. I am very pleased and can recommend this without reservation.
