Actually, I would review this directly "But" start with one, but let us first of all the positive features of PTD1 list: The device is easy to use, its responses are more or less understand intuitively (LED in traffic light colors) and you can not make it wrong or much better in handling broken (except, you look directly into the laser light). The thermal detector covers for general household use basically from everything you need for the assessment of indoor climate, the insulation quality and the moisture in the walls so. Again excites me again "But," I will, however, still only come later. Priced at about 100 one gets delivered the usual (high) Bosch quality. In particular, the processing of the device, but overall, the general usability, certainly justify 4, maybe even 5 star. Batteries are also included, as well as equal a clear, understandable manual. The device works really quickly (returns the results almost immediately) and may serve for more intensive tests that we still can carry out relatively quickly. In this respect: thumbs up. But where now is the "but"? The "But" and about 1/2 point deduction, I want to give the best grade, is in the details or the lack of detail. For superficial checks, the device is well suited, it also provides interesting clues when something leaking, moist, could be cold, etc., and also attempts at rudimentary predictions warnings, but that was about it. For normal use, absolutely sufficient; for someone who wants to delve deeper into the matter, are the 3 settings with the 3 additional subdivisions (depending on the material) and the 3 feedback perhaps too little, especially as using the supplied material list (see also in the product description) as a common man already is called once for creative installments, what is now just a material before him. A 100-unit must however not afford and probably the more expensive devices can not be better: respect, still a thick thumbs up. Well done, Bosch :-)
