London Calling (New Version) (CD)

Customer Review

Between the album Elvis whose cover is much like the one you can see above and "London Calling", there was stuff that happened. Basically, nearly 25 years of rock packed with innovations and discoveries, absolute masterpieces and rare pearls. The purpose of "London Calling" (The Last Testement), was to mark the end of the rock, tracing it all its styles and appearances. The Clash did fly: this is one of the few albums where EVERYTHING is good, without exception.
The apocalyptic "London Calling" the magnificent "Train In Vain", through the great "Jimmy Jazz", the beautiful "Spanish Bombs" the boulversant "I'm Not Down" and many others, he n 'there is nothing to say: "London Calling" can be heard repeatedly. Despite technical and very funny recording conditions, despite the mixing problems, this drive is to place in the pantheon of great albums of the century, in which one feels for the first time, political and artistic investment of a group at the peak and in full discovery of the world of music in the world, and whose maturity does not cease to amaze after 27 years.
