Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood) (Paperback)

Customer Review

After Ward slightly weakened with "Lover Unleashed" in my eyes, I've been looking forward all the more to Tohrs book - and was not disappointed.

Assuming that all the happy times fall was rule Liebespärchen within the shortest time and get married, I had seriously asked me in advance how this system should work at Tohr and No'One. It would just totally unlikely, in my view, Tohr who his Shellan Wellsie lost only a little over a year ago, can so quickly fall in love again with someone should be. And also drawn from life No'One not just seems to me like a woman who had just time presents her life in a very short time upside down. Fortunately, however, it can not even come to the author, to press this story in the short timeframe a few days. I was very pleasantly surprised when I found out that "Lover Reborn" plays in the period of a whole year in total. I think that's a reasonable amount of time to be found these two hearts to each other.

I can say without spoilers that has me the suspense to No'One and Tohr very tied up and I both usually could understand very well the behaviors. Especially for Tohr it is not easy, the feelings for another woman than Wellsie admit what Ward has shown very convincingly. Tohr has to struggle with himself and his feelings, it takes a long time to its location it is really aware. But No'One is not shallow, problem character. Originally come into the house of the brotherhood, to confront her daughter and her own problems, she finds it difficult to take their lives into their own hands and to take a step forward. With Tohr and No'One Ward presents two versatile and likeable characters, whose history can be read well. Admittedly, it occurred to me, but at first somewhat difficult to get warm with No'One.

Next to her and Tohr sorts more people are in this band once again present. Particularly positive note I have that John and Xhex are taking a larger share of the book. Frankly it would but I was also very surprised if the two Ward would have mentioned in this book only in passing, after all, it's all about the coming together of her (adoptive) parents. There are so few things that have to be clarified after the previous volumes both between John and Tohr and between Xhex and No'One what Ward fortunately does. After Ward has indeed inexplicably almost completely ignored the conflict between Payne, Vishous and the Virgin of the font in "Lover Unleashed" I had almost expected already to a further action of this kind. But not only the relationships with their parents have to clarify John and Xhex in this band, and with each other, the first marital difficulties do on. More will not be revealed here.

Another big part in "Lover Reborn" occupies Lassiter who tries Tohr to stand as much as possible with advice and practical help to finally fulfill its mandate. I'm curious to see how it goes with him, Ward has already announced that he will eventually get his own book.

And now for Band of Bastards whose presence in contrast to its predecessor band has risen. As will probably come as something still in the next volumes, surely it is at these times friends namely not such tame opponents as the Lesser, which will probably only times to do in the near future no longer much. The B. o. B. really brings back excitement to the matter and are the brothers seriously what to do. But no matter how I turn and turn the tide and, with Xcor I will not warm. As Ward can it ever so pitifully within the meaning of "I may be a very tough guy, but since I do not want a woman's all stupid," yet I still do not see that is going to change in my mind about him a lot , But you never know ... The way it looks, it will probably be soon be the protagonist of one of the subsequent volumes.

Much more interesting than the plot line to the B. o. B. is definitely for me the relationship between Qhuinn and Blay. I think it's great, as Ward has the history of the two spun through quasi through the last volumes, and can be described as reader to witness the development of the two. They have now gone together through so many ups and downs and also in "Lover Reborn" We must both continue turbulent. In particular Qhuinns internal conflict has been drafted by Ward that his and Blays scenes in this book are for me the absolute highlights so emotional and believable. I can not expect that the history of the two is retold in a separate volume, according to Ward Qhuinn and Blay're up next. Hopefully in the form of a complete book, not just an amendment that they have earned at least in my view undeniable.

Of the other couple is not too much to learn with short exceptions again in band 10, but I think this is already so fine. About Wrath, Beth, Mary and Rhage again more will finally soon be appearing in the measures announced by Ward novellas. I would also be happy if it maybe some amendments would create more, especially at Phury and Cormia it was pretty quiet lately. Let's see what Ward there can still occur.

Total Ward presented with "Lover Reborn" a very nice book and luckily their expression, unlike the last band scaled back somewhat. I find your writing style excellent and many swear words, which she puts in her mouth the protagonist happens to, do not bother me in the least. So just the tone in particular between the male characters, too much "please" and "thank you" would simply not credible. However, what has bothered me massively with "Lover Unleashed", were the use of Ward phrases. It seemed to me often like trying the author now a newly invented metaphor more bruising in the heel, just to demonstrate on how many different ways they can deal with the English language. To their defense I have to say that it omits this Sprachspielchen at the more traditional characters as Xcor, throe or Layla and the degree has been reduced to for me partly rather annoying phrases-creations in "Lover Reborn" a lot. Therefore, and because Ward, despite the extensive presence Xcors created for me with this book in this series once again a small peak, 5 stars.
