endless cable break

Had the Sennheiser CX 200 Street II chosen because I had previously already Sennheiser in ear headphones (probably CX 300) with which I was happy about 2 years, but which have been destroyed in an accident.

Sound quality of the CX 200 Street II is good. Yes, the cable is sheathed with a bit stiff plastic so that mechanical contact is acoustically transmitted particularly 'good'. Is worse than its predecessor, but still bearable.

After 3 months of normal use, the headphones had but a broken cable on the connector area. Amazon has them exemplary quickly replaced by a new package CX 200 Street II - but even with these headphones, the cable broke in the same area after about 3 months. Saves Sennheiser recently at the copper?

Had previously been several headphones for mobile use and broken cables were previously extremely rare, if at all only after years. Did example yet Sony Walkman headphones have survived the approximately 10 years sometimes quite regular use without cable break. And Sony is now not really known for quality.

5 stars definitely for Amazon for the speedy and responsive handling in both cases!
