The feel is for the price but something bad, the MPK mini is made of a less quality-looking plastic housing and low weight (for mobile use to evaluate actually positive) makes the whole feel to nothing and leaves the impression of a plastic toy. The processing of buttons, dials and pads but high quality and rugged.
The pads are in the original version actually somewhat sluggish, what you have to do this press very firm so. After you have installed the tape but hack the pads significantly more sensitive.
Since I myself I can not say anything directly about the key a piano / keyboard playing. For programming the drums me rich from this completely. Despite thick fingers I can operate the buttons comfortably.
The operation under Windows 8.1 x64 and the DAW Reaper is completely given. For simple applications, the "home studio" I would recommend the MPK mini.
