The thumb rest is available in silver or black, depending on the camera model. Did for Fuji X20 (silver / black) buy. Feel and color match well to the original camera. The rest sits relatively firmly in the hot shoe, but does not lock. The camera can be held with one hand much safer than without, so it is an absolutely recommendable complement! The temple is not too far out and restricts the operation of the camera in any way (except, of course, Using the hot shoe ...) When working with tripod might also like the built-in bubble / water balance be beneficial. Freehand makes digital Water balance of the camera probably more sense!
