4 factors meant that I drew as a successor a small system into consideration. 1) A wife who has nothing for exposed cables and separate speakers left. 2) The realization that one with 60 years has no longer the same as with sensitive hearing 40. 3) The known fact that very few people have perfect pitch; you get used to very quickly to the system that you have. 4) The required amount of money.
When one thinks of a small system said, most people probably think first to the "B" and the price of approximately 700 euros. From various Internet forums, I learned that there are many enthusiastic supporters of Creative's worldwide system, which also claim that it was at least as good as that of B ... I would like to try, especially since it was clear that such a system can not be a purchase for life due to the still limited durability of the CD player. The fact that the CD player performs his duties in the housing with the vibrating loudspeakers should not just also prolong its life, no matter how well insulated.
So I tried the Creative system. I was not disappointed. Of course, you can hear the difference to the Acoustimass system, but really only if you pay attention to what is rarely the case with me. For my needs, the sound is quite sufficient for good music enjoyment and wealth for the living room of about 40 square meters. In the popular Stereo setting is meant quite, you could the speakers 2 feet apart. And, as already reports that the bass is so amazingly powerful that it down regulates it better. All visitors were amazed by the sound so far.
The procedure set out on the device I find very good. And they are clear and logical.
So really a great investment, not only or especially for a price. The processing does not reveal any compromises.
Finally, I would like to report a problem with the connection. Maybe someone has the same difficulties.
After connecting to our cable antenna socket all FM Transmitter were very noisy. The existing system had no problem on the same line. In addition, I have more plants out of the house connected trial there, also no problem. So I said, my Creative conditioning had broken down. Quick call to Amazon and 2 days later a replacement unit was there (great service!). But unfortunately, exactly the same, all FM stations totally noisy. So I asked experts, and only at the third or fourth time I found out that it can occur in older antenna cabling to a so-called "ground loop" (or something similar). Most devices do not mind, but some respond well with noisy channels. The Creative plant is one of them. The solution, however, is simple. You have to scrape off the sheath of the antenna cable near the end, and only connect the central, signal-carrying cable to the system. Then the FM pleasure nothing stands in the way.
