Mainly I use my 10 "Dobson from GSO for purely visual observation. However, it appealed to me, especially the moon and the planets a par shots with my video camera to make. If you get the handling, it actually works very well. I'm surprised what can be done even without expensive equipment and tracking motor. Only one star deduction, because the mount (if the screws are not tightened) is a bit shaky. However, an absolute yes for amateur astronomers.
