Already the owner of a Canon EOS 7D, I was looking for a lightweight body, easy to take everywhere (especially cycling). With the 100D, I found what I expected. Simple to use but still full. We are far from the philosophy of expert boxes / pro "one button / function", but the settings are simplified by the touch screen. The kit lens is not a series L, far from it, but to use that I have is more than enough (landscape photographs "on the fly"). For those who would like to make the video with this camera, this lens is completely silent during the development. Stunning! Construction is also a notch below experts.pros boxes, but it is not the same price range or the same target user / usage. I could "recycle" my 50 f / 1.8, although more qualitative than the kit lens (though less versatile). The assembly remains consistent from the viewpoint of space. In summary, a lightweight body but of excellent quality.
