First, I must say first that I times a Canon EOS 500D had 3 years ago.
This has given me so much fun that I've just bought up a small lens Park.
This consisted of the "Canon EF 100mm / 2.8 USM Macro", the "Canon EF 70-200mm / 4.0 USM L" and the standard kit lens "EF-S 18-55mm".
Unfortunately, I've sold after about 1 1/2 years my whole equipment, since I have no more time had to occupy myself with it further and Leisure has just not been sufficient to deal with my camera. The separation occurred to me very difficult, but I said to myself: That was not your last DSLR. And so it has also come, I bought the EOS 600D!
The biggest difference to the 500D is probably the swiveling display.
This is really super convenient, especially the fact that the display can be easily folded when not in use and is thus protected from external influences. Especially useful this will probably be for people who use their camera for video recording! (Applies to me NOT.)
Here's a little subjective evaluation:
Pro:
processed very noble
is incredibly comfortable to hold
extremely bright and sharp display
easy and foolproof operation
Keys very well positioned, whereby everything can be operated to contort your fingers without
almost 'perfect' value for money
Battery lasts forever Felt (does not apply to people who use the camera for video)
etc. - things that just do not want to come to mind
Cons:
nothing, who would expect a lot more change to the two-digit or Canon cameras, however, which are back in a completely different price class
Conclusion:
I would recommend the camera with a clear conscience. Especially for people for whom it is the first SLR camera.
But even for "advanced". The purchase you will never regret it safe.
Many greetings and to all who have chosen to purchase: HAVE FUN! :)
