But even unusual, at the same time interesting, has been woven into the album.
Suppose an early example of the song 'Stone Cold Metal': with 7:25 minutes of the third longest song on the album.
After powerful vocals comes a slightly longer instrumental part in which only sounds a nice whistled melody, then the drums is a little faster, the whistling stops and piano is played. However, this has not a shred of metal songs, but rather something jazzy, groovy.
Then cancels the piano and you will hear again sombre music while is not sung, but spoken.
The melody does not sound gloomy, but folky!
The speaker stops speaking and you will hear a banjo, which is normally definitely encountered in jazz area.
After Banjo insert a really cool guitar solo, which is, however, short-lived sounds. This is followed by the refrain.
Furthermore, we look at even the title song 'From Afar' on to which a video was shot.
The video reminds partly to Finntroll's 'Nedgång' in which as built in the triangle, the band behind the singer and sings.
'From Afar' is certainly one of the most pompous title of the album: it starts powerfully and is about a prophecy that would be almost forgotten. The prophecy of the destruction of the world is described, and that all the things you love, will disappear.
From my personal point of view, 'From Afar' a first class album and belongs in every rational folk metal shelf.
From my album receives 5 of 5 Stars!
