There certainly was some play in horizontal rotation, but when the wheel is tightened, the game disappears entirely.
Tightening the ball inspires complete confidence, it has no play and is easy.
The plate-lock security mechanism (small orange button) inspires trust, it is very reliable and solid. A small metal pin blocks the plate at the bottom of the slot and prevents it from going out. Final tightening is done easily using the dial. Simple and effective.
The three wheels are coated with rubber. All parts of this ball are metal.
Two metal quick release plates are included with the patella (handy if you have two devices), and a small wrench to tighten the plate under the camera.
The ball goes great with Alta Pro 263AT foot of the same brand, to quickly orient the camera in any direction, including upside down macro. A quality / price ratio.
The delivery was quick as always, Alta Pro foot and the ball arrived together, although separated from consignments.
