Having stayed tried pedometer in the past and was more than disappointed (after a journey of discovery through Berlin on foot were just 200 something steps displayed), but I was always skeptical. The Omron Walking Style Pro 2.0 but has disabused me.
The built-in sensor really measures every step, but it is sometimes a bit sensitive and, so it seemed to me to count some extra steps when you're really gone. Still, I can get over this slight variations.
Below are the steps next to the distance traveled and calories burned.
The data is stored for 21 days, however, are only the last 7 on the display called up.
The configuration of the device is quite simple. In addition, all units of measurement can be not only in km, cm and kg (the latter two are necessary so that the distance traveled and calories burned can be calculated) to enter, but also in inches, pounds and Mile. The instructions in this respect is also illustrated self-explanatory. However, there is a Quick Start Guide, the full manual is only available in Internet. The only criticism of the manual: It is written in multiple languages, each language is printed very small and you really have to see exactly where is the German line.
As an additional feature, you can, thanks to its built-in USB data stick also quickly upload to your computer. Therefore one must register however.
However, the accompanying website has some shortcomings. Also it is relatively self-explanatory, but FAQs etc. are in English only. I therefore indeed no problems, but it would be nice if you could choose between several languages. You can then leave his progress graphically with diagrams or tables represent, may themselves set goals and receive virtual buttons when you reach them. This arouses the ambition. However, the upload of the data does not always work smoothly. So is displayed, the data has been uploaded, but these are not reflected back into the respective tables or counters. Although you can manually enter it theoretically, but that did not work with me, because it simply did not let save. Another time it worked the same without problems.
But if I need x-attempts to save this data in the profile, characterized then again longer sit in front of the PC, I can use this time not an additional walk. That's it anyway again a bit counterproductive.
