Everything could have been so nice, but ...

Everything could have been so beautiful. But first I want to list my predecessors and the reasons why I bought this smartphone. I had a Samsung S2 and S3. Since I have small hands, I found the one-handed handling of S3 always uncomfortable and wanted to go back a smaller device. The software of the S3 I found partly screwed up with frequent slowdowns and the creaking back cover is a no-go. Due to the good overall rating for great quality and feel, I bought my HTC ONE S.

The first impression is really positive. The device is really very thin and the quality metal case leaves a very good impression. There are on the back of a small plastic cover that covers the SIM card, power button and camera. Unfortunately creaks and move this cover! This is totally stupid. Now you have already purchased a device that, although no longer corresponds to the state, but is offered with quality materials, and then the little creaks lid back on every turn. HTC says I should send the device. Have another cover purchased (for 20), although this is no longer creaks, but he shakes more. Too Bad.

That the power switch is at the top, is not as convenient for one-handed operation. Further, the device while being a display 4.3, but it is narrower than that of S2, and the keys accordingly very narrow. I write much more erroneous than the S2 and could not get used to it after 4 weeks. The battery is relatively lax. When to use it exceptionally long, you have to be lucky if you still have nearly 10%. As a guide: the morning in the subway 1 Hours: 45min of music, Internet HSDPA, a few WhatsApp away = 30% battery.

Enough puked. Of course the phone also has advantages. If you can live with the above-mentioned disadvantages will enjoy the following points. At the same time again all pros and cons:

Positive
+ Superfluid operation (mE better than Galaxy S3), applies to series S4 processor
+ Metal case is very valuable
+ Beats Audio truly brings great, rich sound (Equalizer recommended)
+ Very elegant appearance
+ Image quality camera at an average level, but super-fast ready with continuous shooting

Neutral
* Battery can not be replaced, no memory expansion possible (for me was not so important)
* In cold hands the device is flutschig because the casing is made of metal
* AMOLED display is a matter of taste. The white and text sharpness could be brilliant (Galaxy S2 is better)

Negative
- SIM cover creaks and moves when you press the Power / Standby button
- Switches to 3G HSDPA mode sometimes very reluctant (Congstar network), the annoying
- Text type is not as easy since the housing / display very slim and the keyboard is very narrow
- Battery life is not up to date, is nearly at the end of the day, especially in mobile data radio
