In this album nothing to be desired. After the last two albums sounded largely uninspired and devoid of ideas, Dream Theater have hit again as once delivered Images & Words. The songs are catchy, often epic, sometimes hard and yet Frickel fans come (I mean lover of virtuoso deposits for which no normal person more can the clock count) their money. Dream Theater socialize sent to style elements that have been known from the past albums, on, such as the metal sound of Train of thougt (albeit with much better arranged songs), to the Muse-like song elements of Octavarium (without, however, abzukupfern the original as on the last disk) or to the orchestral sound of the 24-minute title track of Octavarium (without the lengths).
At the same time sounding Dream Theater just as playful and musically challenging as 10 years ago. Keep it up - Dream Theate successfully defended its position in the prog metal throne.
