If you look at the cover, it is noticeable that Shantel appears to be particularly proud of this album. He emphasizes that no samples are available and everything was even sung, or even that there is such a thing as a classic band that all made. Now I wonder: Why, damn it, you do not hear that? If me a band on stage would then offer a sound, I would ask for my money back. The result is not a stage, everything is swallowed up with everything, no, it's vermatscht a tonal mush. It is neither right nor heights deep bass that I would have expected at least in the kind of music. This is neither a Balkanpop- still an electronic album worthy, not even a Popalbums. All ironed, artificial, entirely inorganic, even though I had just expected after the advance notice that it comes to handmade music. It is neither right pressure on, still want to dance, nor will I be affected by any song in any way. And the beat (z. B. in Title 2) sounds like beamed directly from the early techno. And since I was already talking about the next problem: Shantel can not seem to decide what he wants to do because. Sometimes it sounds like electric swing, but then a little bit more to the Balkans, sometimes only after Partymugge (if they would at least pay partyfeeling ;-)), and in between times it seems as if he remembered his beginnings, which would not be the worst. BUT none of this is really, unfortunately, it is also no fusion of all, it sounds like just thrown together, uninspired, heartless. 2 stars I forgive that he sings himself, which I find quite charming and funny, but he's just not a singer, so the whole thing is a bit sometime matter.
I can only recommend everyone listen to sample the album (I would even kept myself on my advice ;-)). Sonic marvel of great facilities are not expected, but on Beatz by Dr. Dre is probably anyway regardless. Too bad, I was looking forward to this album.
