Once the package has been received by me, I opened the package, opened the hard drive cage with the sliding mechanism and hineinverfrachtet my SSD.
Housing to USB 3.0 cable connected to housing and iMac and the switch to "on".
The SSD has been recognized directly and worked without problems. Since it is a Windows PC, I have formatted with the Disk Utility in the MacOS disk format.
Immediately afterwards tested with the program "Blackmagic Disk Speed Test", which housing, bring the USB 3.0 connection and SSD together for speed.
I was really surprised! For so little money so such a good performance. Strong buy recommendation at this point!
Even though I really am not the customer who writes reviews on products - for this I wanted it!
The results are impressive:
Write ~ 270 MB / s
Read ~ 400 MB / s
I have the speed test run multiple times and always came almost at the same values - that's why also followed directly buying a Samsung 840 250 GB SSD & evo another hard drive enclosure from inateck
I'm going to even take a test and then use as an external disk system on iMac, the internal remains for music, videos and other files and the "old" SSD I use already for Time Machine.
At a Glance:
For the price unbeatable! A short USB 3.0 cable is included and does not have to be purchased separately. A blue LED on top of the housing lights when the SSD is supplied with Storm and blinks when data is being read or transmitted.
Who does not buy is your own fault! : P
A screenshot from the Speed Test is uploaded to the customer images.
An addendum on the performance as an external disk system comes when SSD and my second housing have arrived and MacOS "is" on the SSD
