For a long time I had wished for a compact, easy to use camcorder - though I had for some time no longer actively looking for it.
Likewise, I had long toyed with the idea to buy an underwater case for one of my digicams, but nothing had been found here, what my query.
With this assumption, I had recently again browsing the internet and I came across this camera that combines both my desires in a simple manner and the (mind in this price range) has received the best reviews.
I have had the camera over the weekend ever with me, and just about everything (so to 100 movies a 3-10 sec) in short clips recorded what made me the day has more than so. From this I then so created with the editing software installed from the camera to my laptop 4 short films from 3 to 6 minutes. I also have a few photos shot which are satisfactory, but of course not rankommen the quality of my Nikon DSLR (can) - I had not expected.
What can I say: I am thrilled completely.
The following situations were filmed scenes: shooting underwater in an aquarium, outdoor shooting in heavy rain, our pets in action, our children playing, myself while driving, und.und.und ...
Here I basically filmed with the resolution 720p at 60FPS and the digital zoom very little used. Incidentally, I have my camera used a 8GB Class 10 SDHC card from Kingston. Several previous reviews had been noticed that 10 cards would be a firmware upgrade needed for the operation of the Class. My camera had the latest firmware on it and can easily map work with the C10.
The editing software allows, in principle, similar to that of MS Movie Maker to assemble the individual scenes, to cut, to provide them with transitions, and add text and audio tracks. I could then save the movies (in my opinion) loss in .avi format. Even storage in .3gp format was no problem, so that I can watch on my Blackberry the movies now. The rendering of the films has taken so long each about 2-3 times, as the movie is long. (Mind you on my 3 year old business laptop, which is intended not for Multimedia) There are certainly better software for post-processing, but these can be here for me already nothing to be desired.
I can date all listed here positive reviews confirm full and therefore spare me further details. I may as well all those who have given a negative evaluation only meet with incomprehension.
Who mounted the camera on vehicles in such a way that the vehicle transmitted vibrations to the camera, should not be surprised if the movie is not that great then. I positioned the camera vibration at various points in my car and turned a few test videos. The result is impressive in any case.
CONCLUSIONS: Absolute buy recommendation for realistic contemporaries who are looking for a waterproof action camera, you can always carry around.
