This is an impressive and exciting book. A paved certainly almost 700p, but we do not get bored! The author discusses his not conventionally book starting with birth and advancing chronologically, but starting with an analysis of the character: where is the myth of Charlemagne, what is the value of source documents for writing Such biography. These are passages of great wealth, really delectable. Then he attacks the life of the character, but always with a very critical view. The style is really easy to read, very dynamic and exciting. Despite the thickness and erudition of the work, this book remains palatable. I really recommend it to all those wanting to discover Charlemagne vividly and objectively.
