Positives:
- The display is outstanding - surpasses in direct sunlight all predecessor lengths!
- Relatively fast route calculation, also can be similar to Navigon can calculate an alternative route.
- Keeps the pure battery operation 5-6h loose, you can easily use the pedestrian navigation to eg in the city, an address or otherwise to control what your foot on without fear of the battery breaks down.
- Device is very light
- Support is good, so far can still be seen no signs of wear at the contact surfaces on Navi producing contact with the charger.
- The "edge" design is what - good idea!
- I'm not a fan of pre-established routes because it usually does not work out the route created to drive exactly because thousands of possibilities (construction, accident, event) anyway. That's why I make the most routes directly in the device using a card which works quite well in Moto Pilot, would say even better than in Raider2.
Negatives:
- The maps (latest update is on it) are not as accurate as for example when Raider2, small but paved roads are sometimes not present, it was possible on purpose so as to improve the clarity - I would be "precisely" dear!
- The address entry is somewhat more complicated than with Raider but completely OK (complain to high level)
- Very rare (happened once) the device software has the play around hung with the settings during navigation - otherwise work to date always reliable.
Here's an important note for LTE users, the update of the Moto Pilot was possible on my home LTE Vodafone NOT !! After much back and forth with the support (by the way always has responded Timely) I have the device given my brother, who could without any problems over DSL updating !!!
I hope the Blaupunkt device further updatet (has indeed Lifetime Updates), and the few negative points especially the maps detail improved somewhat. Otherwise you have to clearly say to the money a useful Navi is the need not hide even before twice as expensive equipment!
