Packaging and delivery:
- Delivery by DHL, packaging very good, original box still glued on the sides and sealed.
Package contents and the box itself:
- Include DSL connection cable
- Include Short network cable
- Quick Start Guide, which is described very clearly and outstanding
- CD with manual and software (software is not necessary)
The box is a little monster and the volume is almost twice as big as my previous 3170th
But the connections are on the 3390 is not quite as crowded and very beautiful accessible.
Even the wireless button is now much better to use. The small Minischalterchen of 3170 was a joke.
But you look at 3390 in vain for a power button. The box is switched on by plugging in the AC adapter. Do not like it quite like that.
Set Up:
- With eg: is the IE 10 connect to fritz.box and wait ramped up the box. Each router needs a few minutes. The 3390 is no exception here.
- Rumors that box would I can not confirm need 20 to 30 minutes to boot ABSOLUT. The new box appears to be as "fast" as my old 3170
- One should enter a password for the box. Then it's on to the Setup Wizard.
- Choose a provider and enter the connection information.
- Who WLAN, yet can operate the built-in channel search and look the least on what wireless channel is going on. I have set the 2.4GHz channel the box to an unused channel. This interference should not be an issue. This may actively seek the pits after disturbances and occupied channels is simply superb.
- The connection to the provider is established and it is ... super fast.
Perhaps only subjective, but the new box appears on the DSL to be a rocket as opposed to the old.
Not for nothing the box is the number 1 in testing and on the sale ranking on Amazon.
Absolute buy recommendation. Here you can not go wrong.
