The book is general and not intended to be specific enough to understand this or that but it gives a general panoramma, and extremely well argued and illustrated, medieval Western civilization, it was built from the Roman heritage and barbarians, and its développemnt, under the political supervision of the feudal and intellectual hierarchies of the Church. A good book to lose all preconceptions about the Middle Ages.
