Keyboard
The keyboard is processed very valuable. The keys have a very pleasant stroke and operate very quietly. The click point is excellent. Due to the flat design (similar to a notebook keyboard) is possible very fast typing. I got used to it after a few minutes and came back with my previous keyboard no longer cope at once. Feels like I write with fewer typos than before.
The keys are arranged in the standard DIN-relief and makes it a real joy to work with.
The keyboard has four special keys, which are permanently assigned. Somewhat useful is only the key to lock the desktop. The other three keys are programmed with start Calculator, the default mail client, and default browser., In each case a new instance of the application starts. Runs the browser or email client already, so it is not restarted. I do not mind this, because I do not need the features.
The keyboard has only one LED, which prompts you to recharge the battery. For Numlock so there is no LED. However, the status on the software "Cherry Keyboard Manager" on the screen will be displayed. For me this is more than adequate.
The keyboard comes with two rechargeable batteries (AAA, 800 mAh) equipped. The batteries are located in a battery compartment that is sealed with a small screw. If the batteries are used up but after a few years, so they can be exchanged quickly. Load the batteries when using the included USB charging cable. The battery can be charged during operation.
If the keypad is not in use a long time, so they can be completely switched off using a small slide switch.
Mouse
The mouse looks at first very large, but is very good in the hand. They can be easily switched between a resolution of 1000 DPI and 2000 DPI. The mouse is equipped with two batteries (AA, 2000 mAh) and is equipped also charged with the supplied USB cable as needed. The batteries can also be easily exchanged, only the small screw from the battery compartment has to be removed. The mouse also has a small slide switch, with which it can be switched off completely.
With me on the desk, the mouse works on various surfaces (wood, paper, etc.) very precisely.
USB transmitter
The USB transmitter is not is a micro-transmitter, it is about 2cm long, but works on several meters away properly - both with the mouse or with the keyboard.
Communication between keyboard and mouse and the transmitter or transmitters are AES encrypted, so is not in real time according to the prior art intercepted.
Software
For the keyboard, there are at Cherry on the [...] the KeyM @ n software for, download. The software enables many more configuration settings, but essentially ensures, to replace the missing LED lamps for NUMLOCK etc.
Charge Cable
The charging cable is sufficiently long with about 1.50 m length.
Conclusion
I would recommend the keyboard / mouse combination unrestricted. The workmanship is excellent and the product is designed for professional and long-term use. The keyboard is perfectly finished, I got used to it very quickly. The same applies for the mouse, which works very precisely. The data transfer between the keyboard, mouse and transmitters are AES-encrypted and both the mouse and keyboard are standard in the battery installed, which can be exchanged for new batteries if necessary.
