Together keyboard / mouse desktop 5000

Ordered Monday night, Friday received 2 holidays (8 and 9).
In the past, I had already had a Logitech keyboard with this curved shape.
Since June 2004 I had the Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite together with more straight lines, but was beginning to miss keystrokes, doubtless worn tracks.
My choice is oriented towards this set comfort desktop 5000.
Installation is desperately simple. Fortunately, because absolutely no documentation.
All you need is an internet connection. We put the batteries supplied (2 in keyboard, 2 in mice). These are Duracell AA!
One branch transmitter into a USB port and wait for here goes.
My Windows 7 has detected the key, informed me that he was recovering pilots and asked me to wait a few minutes.
Then it installs by creating a shortcut in the start menu but not on the desktop. It will create by hand.
Then it asks you to configure the keyboard and mouse.
Many top keyboard keys used to launch specific applications.
For example, the Home key selects the browser; messaging touches his mail client and 5 specific keys launch applications pinned to the taskbar in the order of the first 5. A change of order reassigns keys.
But you can also choose a personal assignment that will no longer consider the order in the task bar.
The allocation is made easy by the software interface that allows you to associate an application or a web link to, solutions I've taken since I had on my old keyboard.
Direct access to the calculator is handy.
Ditto for the mouse that has 2 side buttons: one right, one left, which were attributable to just about all feasible functions with a mouse.
Strangely its Microsoft support site offers 2 software and drivers: Intellitype 8.2 and 8.2 iIntelliPoint that resemble Intelli I had on the old keyboard. However, the automatic installation has installed a single software in the Programs: Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center seems configuratiuons allow all possible keys. I tried to install but I'm told that the already installed version (that run automatically) is more recent.
The key link together usb keyboard / mouse does not seem to be a problem with the key plugged into a USB port on the back of the case.

Ergonomics, I would be a little less positive.
Personally, I find the letters of the keyboard are too remote to the left and be forced to shift the keyboard to the right which leaves less room for the mouse or typing obliquely. Maybe in the use sarrangera here.
The buttons esc and functions as well as customizable keys are lower than those of the keyboard which requires some attention or practical to use.
And Shift (ascending arrow) on the left is really too small and often hangs the key Similarly, the mouse, the side keys stand out and are positioned slightly further forward than on my old mouse therefore more difficult to access.
The form is less inclined to the right for my old and seems less well fall under the hand but again I think there was an adjustment to make. 9 years with a set used here creates a daily habits that probably needs to be corrected.
Keyboard and mouse seem to react properly, at least for my rhythm but I'm not a gamer!
The wheel has no notches but then I found that I was already here so do not bother me! I only wish there was a slight hollow at the location of the fingers as is often found. Here, the surface is curved upwards! Cà gives the impression of fingers wedged less!
No buttons M / A nor mouse nor keyboard. What will happen to the battery life?
To turn off the mouse, you need to ingest the USB key that switches a contact. But this solution is not very suitable for use in fixed where the key is permanently connected (here the back of the tower).
The wrist rest is pretty hard and striated, less comfortable than my old soft leatherette.
The keyboard comes with 2 feet to set either the rear (classic case) or in front (I do not see the point) but are not retractable.
A light is supposed to give the state of the keyboard batteries, but for now, it is off. Only lights there until the batteries are changed? I have not yet found in the software viewing the battery level.
The keys are closer together than on my old keyboard and causes me here for typographical errors that should solve the habit.
However, and this is more embarrassing for me, I found the same fault as my old keyboard, that the function keys have a double assignment and that access to the usual Fn is done only after pressing Verr.f. The big problem is that the Safe Mode Boot F8 key is not activated when starting the PC and this is very unfortunate.

For now, at barely 50 at Amazon, which always delivers as punctually and seriously, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Hoping that he too will last 9 years, which is unfortunately more obvious with the purpose of life programmed technical equipment: :-(
