I ordered this product after reading the report, David Pogue on Yahoo.com - I'm not disappointed. My usage scenarios: 1. Travel for external monitor to the comfort of my office (permanent use in dual screen - one for email, one for the current application), 2. screenshot (with Camtasia ) during training events that I organize. Successfully tested on a MacBookPro 15 "2012 (USB 3.0), a MacBookAir 11" of 2011 (USB 2.0) and a 2011 iMac (USB 2.0). Once the drivers are installed (available on Asus.com or directly on DisplayLink.com - I tried the two sources, DisplayLink.com does not require a previous account creation), everything works. The image is sharp (1920x1080 anyway!), And nice; no perceptible slowing of the mouse (even in USB 2.0). The only fault (identified by all Mac users): brightness control buttons do not work on Mac. It is suggested to connect the display on a Windows laptop to adjust the brightness, which then remain fixed. Personally I find the default brightness (factory setting) quite sufficient. The travel case is rigid but not too heavy - we will see in use. I think it will in any way necessary to take great care of how I store the luggage containing the Asus screen: the coup to avoid at all costs is the "bags jam" in the luggage compartment on the plane - I got to break the screen of a laptop Dell qqs years ago with a "nag" embedded behind and forced her bag on top of mine. The Asus external screen is so thin (plastic back) it is anyway much more fragile than a laptop. So to watch. For now, I am very happy with my purchase!
