Nevertheless, the Focal Spirit Classic has me even under these adverse conditions and despite the significantly higher price (+100 Euro) curious, I found the sound but as a fairly balanced. As a closed-back headphones he naturally has a not quite as wide as the stage AKG K701, but enough for me and I hear the tramp of the neighborhood kids in the quiet passages barely. In addition, the detail resolution is not quite as good as the AKG K701 (in my eyes the very great strength), but to me still quite sufficient (significantly better resolution than eg the Sennheiser Momentum). The lack of bass the K701 I then found the Spirit Classic and the heights were mitigated and no longer as sharp. All this combined with a higher comfort ensures that I can enjoy music in great quality hours with the Focal Spirit Classic, whereas after more than 30 minutes trying to annoying was the K701.
In my eyes, the Focal Spirit Classic is suitable for many genres. I have so much classical music heard a lot of singer / songwriter, jazz, (hard) rock, metal and pop. Only for very heavy bass music like rap and various sub-genres of electronic music, I would possibly choose a different headphones. Through the bass amp of my headphone amplifier is also noticeably more bass in the ear, but quite convince me not like the sound then. Whether this is a problem of the headphone amplifier or headphones, I can not judge, because for me quite simply lack the expertise.
The Focal Spirit Classic I run the way on Fiio X5 (mostly lined with Lossless music) in combination with the Fiio E12 headphone amplifier. This combo already makes for a pretty good quality and the Focal Spirit Classic is fortunately able to transport this quality to his ear.
