Then it immediately went to the network connection. When installing wired everything goes smoothly, easily and automatically. A manual setting of the network parameters is not a problem. The WiFi setup did however significantly problems in connection with my AVM Fritz box 7270. A manual adjustment was not feasible. The player could not connect to the wireless network in this way. A setting by the WPS service runs smoothly, however. I'm pointing this out because I do not know whether all DSL router in the local area today really support automatic simplified procedure without manually entering the SSID, key parameters and password.
As quite common nowadays I can immediately check for software updates and installs. One was available on the internet and was completely processed without problems.
So far I have conviction solely LG BluRay Player in use, because the manufacturer "all manufacturing" media is known for its truly and with me also confirmed repeatedly during operation. Even bad DVD from the video rental have my LG still somehow "sehbar" processed.
Now I was given the opportunity to 2D player BDP-S390 from Sony debug and am done extremely positive about the line. Of course, the first test was run with all possible formats that the Sony processed all without hesitation. I previously knew only from LG devices. The Sony handles even the DVD "Brazil", which previously was playable with me on any other BD device! Especially good is the compact size, so that the player about anywhere.
Particularly positive is mE the usual Sony integration of online video library LOVEFiLM the player. Activation is a bit cumbersome. But this is what one thereafter every LOVEFiLM "Video on Demand" offers.
The player is very sensitive to the used HDMI cable. For me, an AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Flat Cable showed as insufficient. Glitches that I interpreted initially as player-errors were the result.

Summary:
The BDP-S390 makes a great picture, good upscaling of DVD. Fortunately, the artifacts formation in DVD or even very fast 1080p material is virtually imperceptible. The build quality is very good overall.
As 2D BluRay players a good investment and therefore no deductions from me.
