The author tells us in pictures his stay in Shenzhen, China, where he worked several months on an animation project. The stories follow each other, sometimes ridiculous, his life -monotone- expat in a country where he does not speak the language, the social relations he tries to forge with the locals, his discoveries (and other culinary ), questionings ... What solitude as his, which is both isolated and under the constant gaze of the people of Shenzhen, where it is probably much "exotic." The days go by and look, with occasional trips to Canton and Hong Kong, most international cities in which it may disappear in the crowd. Sometimes only a comic page, such as a photo large format, punctuates the book. The graphic style is very nice, very different from Burma Chronicles. Here, the use of a fatty medium (chalk?) Makes us feel the weight of the atmosphere, pollution, darkness sometimes it's very beautiful.
