Excellent Title 2

I read this thriller in just one weekend. I did not know the author although I had heard of the famous "Postman Always Rings Twice." I was curious to read it and see that his novels could give. And I have not been disappointed.

One enters the life of Joan Medfort, young woman of 21, mother of a little 3 year old boy, Tad, and a widow for some time. It is she who will tell his story and explain how everything has gone since her husband, Ron, was killed in a car accident.

I let me dive into this atmosphere rather ponderous in which some doubt since the beginning of this famous death. We follow this very fluid narrative to the point that the pages turn quickly. Too quickly even.

I was stunned to realize how much I was hanging on Joan's history: how it was perceived by Ethel, how it was doing everything to keep Tad with her, how Joan lived this situation how her relationship with Earl evolved and reconciliation that occurs with Tom.

When I realized what wrote James M. Cain, I also understood why, at the time, his novels were very controversial. If today, the novel has not aged and shock much less compared to Joan's relationship with two men, the fact remains that the author was cheeky to such things forward in a very puritanical America.

The life of this woman is always full of questions, doubt although his main interest is that of preserving his son and make every effort to demonstrate that this is a good mother.

Still, in his actions, also feels the youth of this mom and if the front cover lets glimpse a facet of this novel, one must be tempted to discover everything that revolves around this young woman.

I confess that at one point, I asked myself many questions about her and her innocence facing the death of her husband.

I will say nothing of what's going to not spoil the fun of discovery but if this novel makes you curious, do not hesitate to get it because it's really well written and it m ' to want to read the author's other titles.

Again, this is an excellent title of the literary season I can only recommend.
