The receiver is recognized by Windows 7, just wait for the automatic search for the driver by Windows.
Windows XP will detect it quickly, as well as Windows 8.1, unlike Windows 7 which put a little more time.
At first it scans well but you do not get the numbers as expected.
In fact from the comments left on the Amazon site, it must pass the keyboard in capital mode. Indeed, this workaround works well.
But as I wished that the scanner recognizes the French AZERTY keyboard, I was asking for support of Inateck that is very effective. They sent me two pdf files.
- The 1st pdf file is used to recognize the French keyboard. In this case, there is no need to put the keyboard in CAPS mode.
- The 2nd pdf file is used to configure the scanner to add 0 at the beginning of the CD barcode that for most 11 or 12 digit codes, so I wanted to always have 13-digit codes as specified in the standard.
The support of Inateck ( [email protected] ) Responded very quickly to my requests, preque instantly.
I recommend this product. A big thank you to the support staff of Inateck.
PS: I moderate my enthusiasm a bit the first few hours, because it supports only code scanner at a time. When I configured to recognize the code 39 (character + digits), it reads well but adding 0 at the beginning. When I reconfigure not put 0 at first, Code 39 is read as it should, but my CD barcode have more than 0 at first. I called the support that met me that this scanner only supports a code at a time. Really disappointed. This forces me to correct my program to add 0 at the beginning of the CD code. So, I removed one star to keep only 4 support efficiency and the price of the scanner.
