Very good book that gives an exciting interpretation of the life and teachings of Jesus, based in particular on the Gospel of John. Actually Petitfils is sometimes carried away in his faith and some statements seem a little too fast (in terms of the Shroud of Turin or Eucharistic miracles for example). But given the mystery of Christianity there is inevitably forced to take at any given time a trench position, even when we want to stay in the historical Jesus. One of the strengths of this book is its price, pocket size, which makes it particularly accessible remarkable work. Another work is probably even more comprehensive and based on bias similar study, "A Jew, Jesus" by JP Meier, also frequently referenced by Petitfils. I also and this is an absolute benchmark of the genre. But almost 4 volumes will return 20 times more than that little pocket book, so much start there.
