The books on graphic arts are often disappointing: pure artistic expression or gross technical work of concrete (and often summary, limited to the eternal variation of color associations and other trivialities)
This one exception: it highlights, for example, the interest of color associations, the interest of the choice of fonts, the interest of combinations we can do to support a message or another it allows you to understand the great work that a graphic analysis, selection and creation.

If you are a customer, you will never dare say "no it sucks" in a graphic work, but you will say modestly that "no, it does not suit me."

The graphic designs are creations: they are the result of real work and this book explains, shows, demonstrates the different phases. So why: congratulations to the authors for this book exception on ten of the domain I read. It really introduced in the manner of doing.

The downside? After this beautiful graphics and design lesson, you'll want for your interest in the Before & After magazine and you go Googling. Do not look at how their site is designed: the code is invalid, there are nested tables, the frozen image to text etc. All a web designer should not have been done on their website :-)
