The beginning is so-so, an emotional bond to the protagonists or sympathize hardly takes place because simply too little time. The Heavy Rain has much better hingekriegt in his prologue.
This is not new is the story: gift. There are not so many opportunities for an apocalypse. Either war and its consequences or aliens or zombies, or a disease / parasite / fungal / plant (here please matching boxes), optionally a combination. The Last of Us has decided to Mushroom Zombies, which in my view does not stand out in erwähnenswertem extent of other zombie survival games and deserves no special attention or praise. Zombies are just zombies.
Control goes largely in order. Anyone who has ever played a TPS Survival game should get along. To keep up with resources House underlines the ending character of the game.
The characters are cliched and can be purely tinkered readily in a whole host of other games or movies. The taciturn father of not cope with the loss of his family, the tough woman who always has a cheeky or hearty spell in stock, the young girl that you somehow like to have needs, the evil regime that the evil terrorists, the evil marauders and actually yet everything is different. Not new and unfortunately put together entirely without love.
Why still only 2 stars? For me, the mix of the same old story and character devices is simply not on. Three stars would be absolute mediocrity but unfortunately I have always had with all elements feel it already seen much better. Maybe my expectations were simply too high screwed by the positive coverage, I do not know. The fact is that I have the game sold after 15 hours of play time.
