exhausted great device, potential

I bought the unit about 3 months ago and am so far happy with it. The advertised basic functions are fulfilled. The problems are in the details, are probably due to a suboptimal / immature firmware and are as follows:

-Lautsärkelevel The device / interen boxes coupled with Digital out:
for a good quality digital-out so you need to adjust the playback volume of the player to maximum. The internal speakers of the device are overloaded here - the own ears - until the one "mute" (Mute) button pressing pushes on the player. The Digital Out reproducing is remains unchanged.
The only way to a (very) good sound quality via Digital Out reach.
If the device is switched on and off again, the whole procedure begins again.
Not the point!

Search function in the MP3 collection is useless, the usually very long-running search request can not be completed (Unplug required)

-A Scrolling through the Music Library takes a relatively long, because you always have to start with "A" or "Z" and has click through individually. A jump in the music collection, for example, the letter "K" is not possible.

-no real End. Device knows: A, "active standby" (machine at rest, display time), Standby (display off)

-Playlists Can only be created on the PC, not on the device

-Sortierreinfolge Of MP3's can not be changed. Music is always played in alphabetical order, for example, sorting by track / title number is not possible

-Anzeigeinformationen Not be changed on the display: It will only artist / title / album / elapsed time shown in a predefined layout (font size / position). Longer names scroll by. Font size too small.

-no further service information, for example about how CD cover must be stored so that they are shown on the display

-schleppende, sluggish improvement of the software problems of manufacturer sites

In the last 4 months Phillips has published 1 Firmewareupdate. The box recognizes when connecting to the Internet (eg when the "Internet Radio" is started), the new firmware available and installs them on demand.
Caution: Do not ever begin playing at each update. Example: the 04 / 05:03:09 published firmware was initially flawed. Who could this aufspielte no longer use the "Internet Radio" to problem solving!

I want to mention, however, that this is a fundamentally good product. It might just be better only by a multiple when Philips would work more closely and intensively on the elimination of software errors.

Ultimately, I do not regret the purchase. The Geträt offers as opposed to alternative products also several advantages:

-Good sound through internal speakers, despite a relatively compact design
-very good sound when playing via Digital Out
Color display, even from 2 meters still readable
-recognition Of German umlauts in MP3 tags and filenames
-The FullSound function to improve the sound quality in compressed sound formats is surprisingly good
-Automatic update the firmware via WLAN when it is connected to the Internet
IPMENT works with UPnP servers (as opposed to Logitch Squeezebox)
IPMENT also compatible with alternative UPnP servers such as the integrated Media Server the AVM DSL router. The operation of a PC as a media server is therefore not absolutely necessary

Conclusion: a good device with great technical possibilities. The player has potential, which is currently unfortunately only used to a limited extent.
