I received delivery only today and only briefly tested the polarizing filter. First, the effectiveness: There is in my opinion for the price nothing to complain about. Reflections can be wonderfully hide gradually. Then the second important criterion: the image quality or the deterioration thereof. Have to a test chart with polarization filter on it and without the otherwise same settings photographed (I realize that the filter light swallows; have an external flash used). Now I have not half an hour in the 100% view compared, but at first glance it seems to give me no noticeable differences in quality. And that's what I call a good thing! So for (ambitious) amateur photographers as at least first fully sufficient me. In the age of digital photography you need a polarizing filter eh only mainly for reflections.
Oh, and the polarizing filter is not mehrschichtvergütet - which probably explains the low price. But that is not really tragic. The multi-layer coating is used primarily to attenuate reflections. The polarizing filters are employed anyway in a corner, in which the whole is not a big issue. Otherwise, causes a good compensation, the filter lets through more light. But that is a negligible amount normally.
The build quality is impeccable. The filter metal thread fits neatly in my Tamron SP 70-300 VC USD; the filter keeps well without that I would have to apply to write down or decrease violence.
Who has higher demands, of course, must be a Hoya, B + W oa resort.
Once I get more experience, esp.'ve Collected with the ND filter, I submit to an update.
