- Size is good and surprisingly light. To me she was not especially great in the hand, the handle could be deeper.
- Viewfinder: bad, very bad. No, not because I electronic viewfinder (EVF) dislike and optical (OVF) EH are the only truth. No, quite the contrary:
The EVF of a77 II is awesome, the advantages over optical viewfinder are enormous. But the Samsung is the color and contrast rendition just too artificial.
Since I had not expected from Sasmung, I have asked myself to compare the Samsung representative times with the A77 II and asked whether something can not adjust. But was rauszuholen nothing more.
- The autofocus of NX1 is very fast, massive AF points are available. However, the possibilities of the motif-tracking are not as mature as in the A77 II (or good Nikon DSLRs).
- In contrast to the A77 II there in NX1 also no AF-limiter (at the A77 II you can easily restrict the two rotary wheel the focus area for voonre / rear for example to avoid in sports photography, the distract Something in the foreground / background to AF .)
-. Auto cropping or pupil recognition as the A77 II not there in the NX1 also.
- Even with my old Sony - and now also in the 77 II - can I change settings to take away from the viewfinder without the eye. The EVF makes it possible because you can see the selection menus etc in the viewfinder. Unfortunately, the buttons are at the NX1 so arranged that it is not, for example, WB, ISO ... on the left side! Only my left hand I always am / under lens. That's not practical for me and many other right-handed.
- Flash technology. What I saw on the external flash options at Samsung, is not comparable with the system of Sony.
- Objectives: The main focal lengths are covered, but the lens selection can of course not keep up with Canon, Nikon or Sony.
- When the A77 II the Fn menu is completely user-defined, I find very important as you can so arrange the most common functions itself anyway you want and everything is immediately at hand.
Now I could go on and on functions that have been missing in the NX1, but there determines vice versa.
Not that we get us wrong: Samsung has done with the NX1 a neat leap forward, but the bar in the class is nunmal also high.
And an alternative to the Sony A77 MK II, it is definitely not for me ...
But if it says Samsung seriously and so on makes, could come even interesting in the next few years here ...
Difficult it gets now with the scoring:
I decided to give 2 points.
Too little? Perhaps, but one must include the price and the alternatives in this class. The stakes are high now times in the area. And since the NX1 is not an option for me ...
