One can certainly argue about the look. I find the station quite chic, but who it bothers, who represents the station stop at a hidden place, because basically you have (except for triggering an immediate manual measurement) no longer ran after installation. The installation worked with me to the Wizard to be downloaded within minutes. For this, the indoor station must be connected via USB to PC or unique phone. I had previously set me on the website a (necessary) account, so that the Wi-Fi network only was selected yet, to complete the installation. The firmware was already up to date. You will be automatically up to date or can be installed manually.
Now you can see the station via the USB adapter (mandatory, no battery operation for indoor sensor) placed somewhere in the room, and immediately he starts with the measurements in the 5-minute intervals. Even the outdoor sensor (with four supplied AAA batteries) was immediately recognized and integrated in the balcony. Whether this is now completely weatherproof, I can not judge. It is with me on the balcony, which is slightly protected from rain. So far, the all outdoor sensors conventional stations have survived, so what I expect from this expensive sensor.
The current and historical values can be via website or app (Android or iOS) call at any time, by means of widget on the homescreen. I find the colors something pale, but all data are clearly displayed as a numerical value and curve. Setting also can be various personal alerts to receive a notification on your phone when it reaches certain thresholds. Integration also allows the app WeatherPro, unfortunately so far only for the iPhone! One should be aware that all values are stored on a server, and using IP could also be traced back ultimately. But who is with Google, Facebook and Co. in power on the road, probably should have no qualms if now the temperature of his living room is stored in the network. ;-) Large drawback here: Within a week, was now unavailable for the second time the server for hours. This yields also no more readings and the station is completely useless! Very annoying.
In other reviews, the inaccuracy of the measurement data is criticized partially. This, I regret to confirm. Only the air pressure is the same as the "official" value. All other values differ to some extent considerably from other instruments (see below). Certainly very interesting is the Sonometer for the noise in the room, especially when you live on a noisy road or flight path.
Even more exciting I think the CO2 sensor. Unfortunately, he has not worked for me, it shows (even when installed outdoors) almost always 5000 ppm, a level at which one would get sick ... I have now twice initiated the calibration manually (it takes about six hours), but the values are still completely sinnfrei (every now and then they vary from one measurement to the next times from 5000 to 4000 and then again to 5000 ppm). This appears to be an isolated case, the forum there are numerous entries to and constantly referenced in this case to the support. I've now written and waiting for response. Too bad the clouds the overall impression. Because I have the device in Amazon than bought "like new", is the quiet suspicion that here a defective unit was sold again ...?
Those who do not bother them, always to use for reading the temperature, the mobile / tablet or a PC and the relatively high price is not afraid, is with an easy-to-use and comfortable rewarded station. If only these inaccuracies would not be ... More sensors for rain and wind are announced. In order for the private weather station would then completely. Update2: After usual rapid replacement through Amazon, I now get a new device - and was pleasantly surprised !! There is a newly constructed outdoor sensor! This has a different, water-proof structure and only requires 2 AAA batteries. Very good, obviously you listen to the criticism of the user! And finally seems the CO2 measurement to function. There is a new problem: the displayed Outoor-humidity is too high! Two reference stations show 46% that of Netatmo 65%. Again I contacted the support. If someone has the same problem, here's the answer from the support (by the way also can be found in the Forum of netatmo):

Should it really be days before the values of the station vote? Well, since it is obviously possible to calibrate the sensors from a distance, I'm still waiting for three days and will then transmit the values as desired. Hopefully finally everything works satisfactorily ...
UPDATE3: I have all the values transmitted, together with measurements of a device that, in my opinion indicates fairly accurate values. Meanwhile, both sensors were calibrated from a distance, that is, easily adapted to the measurement results of the reference device. Temperatures now agree, through CO2 I can not say much. But the humidity outside is now completely false values indicates - after they were only too high, they are now far too low and move almost not during the day. It's been raining for hours in torrents, and I will appear 75% - an absurdity. I've re-written to support and am now disappointed that at such an expensive device, the user himself must perform the calibration more or less. As I expected more! Thus, by me only three stars.
Update4: Meanwhile, informed me of the support, that this station is defective! Unbelievable. For such a high price to sell apparently far too error prone sensors. I'm waiting now to the new station and will begin hiring front: wait, compare values to calibrate ...
UPDATE5: Now the third station has arrived. Unfortunately, the measured values are again devastating and it is confirmed that the accuracy of the sensors is beyond any standards. Unbelievable.
Here the measured values compared to the times because I still have the old station, I can also compare the CO2 value. From the new station I both sensors are juxtaposed:
Station old (calibrated according to my wishes) / station new (original out of the box!) Interior / exterior new station
Temperature: 21.2 ° / 20.4 ° / 20.9 °
Humidity: 46% / 59% / 53%
CO2 1017 ppm / 1654 ppm (This dates not at all!)
Sonometer I save because the values have not been determined exactly at the same time and therefore are not comparable (Aircraft Noise).
As can be seen easily, the values scatter again enormously. How can this be explained? And what explains the high price? I would have expected to receive it even halfway accurate sensors factory. Instead, I now lead above ground again and send my book readings and the reference again to the support to allow them to calibrate there. That surely can not be the purpose of such an expensive station. Flowing all the money just in the infrastructure and maintenance of the server from Netatmo or perhaps even in the production of better equipment? SO makes this weather station in any case no fun!

UPDATE6: Now finally it's done and I have a (presumably) working station! The very zealous support, the new station calibrated (according to my wishes!) And I'm basically satisfied. The humidity outside is very sluggish even at the new station, but seems to be more accurate than the previous device. What was surprising was the direct comparison of the two stations that apparently the CO2 sensor the old station was also broken! That you can not check because one lacks the reference yes normally. Me had only wondered that the values have improved dramatically as soon as I closed the window. One explanation I had not ... In comparison, the difference is now clearly visible, and the readings seem to me now to be much more realistic.
Conclusion: It takes a lot of patience to have a reliable station. One should not place undue reliance on the measured values, in my experience, they were partly clearly excessive or even completely "wrong". The support supports one here like, but only if you have reference values available, which you can trust. Whether you want to do to this stress is buying (and possibly more than once, the station exchanges) or rather equal to a "normal" station for a fraction of the price, you have to think twice.
