You smiled in the first? You'll laugh to cry in this second installment. It's funny, monstrously funny, and so, so sulfur too! Minerva is just .. Pouh! I think if I were a man, I also succumb. But now, I'm a woman and I melt, I crack, Colin Payne.
These two characters are extraordinary, stubborn, lined, inventive and totally crazy.
"This is a scandalous proposition. That why you braved the elements in the middle of the night. You invite me to a geology conference if I lose interest in your sister.
- What did you think I was going to suggest? Seven nights of carnal pleasure in your bed?
- I would have found it more tempting offer, he said. "
That's how it all starts, for this absurd idea of Minerva prevent Colin to marry his sister. You are not convinced? I only was not, and Colin even less. But now, Minerva Highwood has forgotten to be stupid, and everything she does is carefully thought out. So they depart for Scotland will win five hundred guineas and damn the reputation of Minerva and that of Colin!
This book is delightfully funny, erotic, sensual, romantic. Colin is fabulous, superb Minerva, I do not know a couple of love better suited novel. It is a real adventure, among highwaymen, chance meetings, theatrical situations and bacchanalia in a castle, I really enjoyed myself! Especially when Colin gets treated her-lo-pa-Dre. There is in this novel an abundance of anthological scenes.
Strongly on!
