At first I was taken by this debut thriller completely under the spell, but after the first 100 pages tipped my positive feeling due to the exaggerations and extreme black and white drawings: a place full of indifferent people, full of drugs and alcohol excesses, fully with 13 year old teenagers who have nothing else in mind than sex, alcohol, violence, drugs and more sex. That's life nowadays in an x-any small American town? All too exaggerated and too extreme. In addition to no proper tension. Not a bad debut, but neither herrausragendes. After reading the novel somehow leave an uneasy feeling remains. Only conditionally recommendable - certainly not as a holiday reading ....
