The monitor has not a IPS panel but the IPS panels that I had here (from the lower price segment) made all a rather pale image.
I do not know whether the principle is due to the technology or whether the price plays a role here.
I work a lot in front of the monitor. I still have not noticed any 'eye fatigue' by the backlight. In the cheap IPS panels does. And so because everything looks rather pale and blurred.
This may especially apply only to me.
The monitor also has small weaknesses.
- He is not as slim as it may be newer products.
- The arrangement of the connections could be better - its space-saving solved. I use the monitor without its pedestal. He is with me in the middle of my speaker surround system. By projecting out straight backwards cable I can not push it all on the wall the monitor unfortunately. Is used, however, the stand there are no problems because by this anyway the distance is controlled.
Expert criticism-point (not important to me)
- He has slight backlight bleeding at the edges.
But who has been working continuously on a black screen so that it would stand out.
The resolution comes in 24 "absolutely at his / my limits.
1080p is just in the area of unrecognizable from a distance of 60cm from the screen.
Others may have a different tolerance here.
+ Working with text is absolutely great, in my view, because letters are very sharp.
Edit + graphics is great because the colors are very natural.
+ Videos can be regarded prima because even darker regions are displayed contrast and you really recognize anything.
+ For gaming, I can say only 'casual gamers with claim' anything. It is very possible. However, I recognize no advantage for gaming monitor with 1ms response time to have. I just notice no difference. That may be different again in others.
my conclusion:
A strong buy recommendation for anyone looking for a good all-round monitor.
