Brief:
1) monitor is fully suitable for gaming. The IPS panel is fast enough.
2) For me (188 cm) very good, with people from 2 meters and up the height adjustment is no longer enough possibly
3) very good preset image, very good viewing angles. So far I could not detect any disturbing halos / uneven illumination
4) due to the superfluous speakers slightly clunky, stand rather ugly
5) without limitations
6) conveniently via remote control, but you can not lose, because there are no buttons for settings on the monitor
Total 4/5 stars. The one point deduction is available for the design (stand and speaker bar). Otherwise, I am extremely satisfied with the Monitor
My rating:
to 1) I'm not a pro gamer, lately I been playing even extremely rare (
to 2) Ergonomics I understand primarily height adjustability. The monitor is very easy up / under adjusted and then remains surprisingly well in position. However, one must mention that you can not go too far up the monitor. If there is no problem for me because I always sink in the chair. But even if I sit down upright, the height adjustment ranges from loose at 188cm height. At 2m people it could be tight if this sit upright
to 3) The viewing angles are absolutely great! The monitor provides rich colors and already with the pre-programmed settings a very good picture. Here you realize the benefits of IPS panels against a TN panel (which are usually recommended for gamers). So far I could not detect any disturbing halos / uneven illumination.
4) First of all: Of course, design is a matter of taste, but here my personal opinion: The monitor is not the nicest! Due to the speaker the lower edge of the screen is just very thick. Speakers in the monitor does not need a man! If you connect any external loud speaker, which is anyway beyond help. The stand is also quite ugly.
to 5) I could not find the slightest problem with office applications or surfing the Internet so far
to 6) The monitor can be set via the included remote control. There are no buttons on the monitor brightness, etc. If the remote control gone, nothing more can be set. The settings with the remote control, however, are actually more comfortable than having to worry about the buttons on the monitor itself.
What bothers me slightly is that you can not completely turn off the monitor, unless you pull the plug from the socket or makes the socket with a lever from. If you switch the monitor just above the power button from a small red LED lights. This would most probably not bother me but already, since the monitor is in my bedroom and there has to light up at night nothing! :-)
Overall I am very pleased with the monitor. There are considerably more favorable monitors of this size, but in my experience so far is the Eizo its price definitely worth (in my case 293). I had the BenQ RL2450HT 61 cm (24 inches) ordered a few months ago, but sent directly back. The BenQ gets mostly good reviews and is also very cheap. Why it is favorable now I know why he did not get good reviews. No matter how you hired the image, it never looked good. The monitor was viiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeel too bright and the viewing angles a disaster. The viewing angles were so bad that at normal "use distance" the color in the corners already was different than in the center of the monitor. When Eizo there are not these problems. The 100 euros more have paid off.
