The complaining by some reviewers fan noise I can not confirm. I bought my IdeaPad U450p on May 11, possibly there were improvements to the fan controller. The device is exemplary quiet. The keyboard has a pleasant feel. For the usual work (office, image editing, video), the device is sufficiently fast. The design is not "high gloss - stylish" but, hence not susceptible to fingerprints :-)

Thanks to Power Save - Centrino can honest and genuine four hours of mobile working in battery mode can be achieved. The screen is "indoor" OK, but more moderately suitable for use in a sunny environment. But that's for all devices with glossy screen like this.

For me, a real minus - point: According to technical data on the Amazon - side the IdeaPad is a 450 xD - have card readers. That is definitely not the case and the instructions supplied with no xD card reader is referred. Since I have a Fuji digital camera, the xD was - card reader for me is an important reason to buy.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 450p with its 14 inch laptop a successful compromise between large and rather inefficient netbooks. The Amazon - Price makes the IdeaPad real price tip. Therefore, I have the device despite missing xD - not returned card reader. However, I forgive only 4 stars. For those who this card reader I do not need good conscience say: Highly recommended !!!!!

Speaking of price: The varies with fluctuations up and down as currently the bank stocks.
