I find it extremely interesting premise being passionate about human reasoning and functioning of each. Unfortunately, I was quickly disappointed. First, this is not a tiny element that changes, but almost all his life. So I want to admit that the slightest change could cause a chain reaction but there really is too much, it comes back to wonder what would have happened if Hitler had not been Hitler and it has no real interest. In addition, there is a share of ridicule in this story which we can take it seriously and we do not believe it for a second. This is unfortunate because I really wish but be convinced should have been for that I think I can find the same man despite the differences and parallels in their lives, something that connects them the to each other.
In terms of the game romanticizing the life of Hitler, I again reservations about an event taking place just after the first war comes almost disempower the acts of his (attention, I do not want at all to say By that the author's excuse in any way!). In the postscript, Schmitt explains how important it is not to dehumanize Hitler, not to imagine that he is not like us and to face all the dark parts that can take a man but precisely, I think that's what it ends up in the book, and so chooses ease.
As for the novel itself so there is no question that I am not seduced. However, reading the author's writing diary, I think that we could have really great conversations! For example on his theory explaining that if Hitler is still so taboo in France (try asking her bio in bookstores), unlike England, it is because we, we have not defeated.
