This book is a very nice surprise. Given the subject, I feared a bit morbid or upsetting side, but there is no such thing. The story of this mother and her child is treated with intelligence, finesse and a lot of heart. The story is fascinating and terrible "wonderful" thanks to the talent and originality of the author. Everything is innocently told from the perspective of a little boy of five years, which means that there is always a distance with reality, but also a valuable childlike freshness. This poignant story of love between a mother and her child is captivating, it is psychologically and humanly very strong. It perfectly illustrates the power of maternal love and the strength of the bond between a child and his mother.
