± starter cartridges not full (about 40% - unfortunately common for all manufacturers)
± For occasional photo printing (no Borderless printing, good color)
± In the lower tray must be inserted always 80g paper
- Very deep, when all of the separations are undressed
- Due to the design larger vibration than a comparable laser printers

In Detail:
I especially like that the printer when loading new paper automatically after the format and paper asks. In the lower cassette he always expects 80g paper, whose format (A4, A5) is adjustable. In the upper tray when placing not only the format but also for photo paper etc. demand. - Clear advantage: On the PC / Mac, I have the choice always to "automatic" are - depending on what I print and have gotten into the cassette, he always takes the right. Also via AirPrint (iOS) printouts fold perfectly.
Although the printer is dominated not borderless, it is suitable for photo printing - for really expensive paper I will stay with my photo printer - but if the strike times, come here still really handsome images out! Who is not looking with a magnifying glass, will be satisfied - from the drugstore around the corner, I'm used to worse.
The device on the network went with a iPhone well from the hand - installed app - the printer on wireless and manual configuration and provided with the phone in the scale from the printer wireless logged. There I was able to easily enter the password for the wireless network in my Fritz box with the phone. Now all network users print wirelessly. Anyone who has a router with WPS button (newer Fritz box), has it even faster and easier. Alternatively, the printer can be connected with a single click via the network cable. After the initial setup, the display for nothing good is - ink status etc. is displayed on my desktop PC. Therefore, I am quite satisfied that it is unlit and unobtrusive.
How deep the printer when it is configured to print A4 and the flap is open, displays the image. That's a little larger than expected - for an office printer but ok.
Very good, I like that the service doors etc. show all forward so that you can accommodate the printer on a shelf without leaving unused space for the ink change etc. upwards.
To me through photography and my (club) work printing has become a hobby. The maxify iB4050 lined up perfectly with my existing setup of photo printers, laser, multifunction printer / scanner and label printer, etc., and still fills a gap. The large number of printers in the home office of me compared to other printers is easy.
