I bought the Wheelstand because my glass desk by the fairly strong Force Feedback and the steering movements was already slowly affected (the legs are already quite shaky) and my constant Disassemble and reassemble became annoying.
A Playseat comes to me for reasons of space out of the question.
The assembly of the frame is sometimes a bit fiddly, but is quite easy on the hand and is done in 20-30 minutes. After the initial effort of assembly and disassembly thanks to the quick release is pretty fast - maybe a minute and you can start.
The Wheel Stand itself is very sturdy and well made. To date, he has never moved and it rattles even nix.
I also feel that the Force Feedback has increased slightly since the rickety desk no longer serves as a shock absorber.
The center bar bothers me when driving a bit. Only lean and push against it is something in the way. The screwing of the plate makes it possible but the steering wheel the other way around to fix. Thus, the rod would be solved behind the pedals and the problem. One would have somewhat sacrificing steering wheel height.
A further advantage is that one no longer needs desk for assembly. Finally, I can now also play in front of the TV 3D and no longer have to settle with the small PC monitor.
When folding the center rod would rest unfortunately directly on the brake pedal, so I prefer the tensioner slightly in first. This is still about 1 cm air between pedal and rod. When folded, the whole thing is a little larger than I first suspected, but is still compact enough to easily stow it in the closet.
Overall, I am extremely pleased and could no longer do without it. A definite recommendation!
