Fast map 1

If I buy a new SD card, then I test them on a USB 2.0 port with a sandy Disk Micro Mate Adapter / Reader with H2testw program by Heise Verlag (magazine c't) on speed and errors. The program describes the complete map and measures the speed of reading and writing.

This one should always do before starting up a memory card in a camera so you can be sure that the card is fully functioning to the last byte and also the full capacity.

H2testw v1.4 has identified the following rate:
Write rate: 14.2 MB / s
Read rate: 16.0 MB / s

This is for a 16GB sand Disk Ultra II, as in the photo printed with "15MB / s".
This card has been delivered without adapter / reader.

I had a slightly higher write rate expected but 14MByte / second match 112MBit / sec and thus the card is fast enough for coming camera generations. I put the card in a Casio EX-F1 is a no problem.
